Some really useful free stuff

by Stuart on 8 September 2010

As charities make that transition from a couple of people in a front room to an organisation with staff and/or volunteers you need to get more organised.  That phrase puts the tremblers on lots of people, but it needn't. You can struggle to find databases to hold your staff information, or try to share documents somehow…. … or you can find somebody who's done all this already and is prepared to let you use it for nothing.

Google has its docs and calendar and stuff, and there's zoho.com that offers a load of free software that you can use.  It's good for small organisations, because the catch is if your requirements get too big you have to pay for zoho.

If your requirements are not so great it's free, so why not try them out and see if their software can make your lives easier.
