Calvin, from Bill Watterson’s wonderful cartoon strip
“Careful, we don’t want to learn from this.”
Closing a project down is boring. It’s all loose ends and paperwork, and all the exciting stuff is over. I don’t want to be bothered with all this guff. I want to get on to something new and challenging. I am Calvin.
Closing a project down is a great learning opportunity. I can look back and see what not to do and what to work on. I can put the experiences to good use to make myself a better project manager, and to improve the effectiveness of my organisation. I’ve learnt from Calvin.
Who are you?
PS If you’ve never read Calvin & Hobbes, stop whatever you’re doing and go here. It’s hilariously funny, with some wonderful insights into life.
