Memo to self

by Stuart on 8 August 2010

Next time you have the bright idea of re-doing the website, just remember how much work it is!

Don’t think “I’ll knock that up in an afternoon” because you were wrong last time (and, sadly, the time before that as well)

And yes, it’s fun; but it takes a lot of time.  Is it worth it?  Absolutely, because it makes you think about what you’re doing, why you’re doing it and how well you’re doing it.  It makes you look over the stuff that was on the old site and realise that some of it is quite out of date, and it’s high time it was sorted out.

And a memo to our gentle reader.  Because this is new and whizzy, there might be the occasional gremlin lurking around.  If you find one, please let me know.  If it all gets too difficult, I haven’t taken the old site down yet (see – I’m not completely daft) so you can find it here.

And when I’ve decided the new site is fit for purpose, I’ll take down the old one, and slyly recycle all the old posts and pretend they’re new!!
